Canucks' Boeser taken to hospital after crashing into open bench door
Rookie sensation Brock Boeser was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons following the Vancouver Canucks' game against the New York Islanders on Monday after crashing into the boards while the bench door was open late in the third period, head coach Travis Green said.
Boeser attempted to check Islanders forward Cal Clutterbuck, but was thrown backward while the Canucks were engaged in a line change. He appeared to smack his lower back into the open gate.
