Brady used Super Bowl loss as lesson for his upset children
Tom Brady allowed a peek inside the Brady household following the New England Patriots' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII last month.
In a soon-to-be-released episode of his "Tom vs. Time" documentary, the Patriots quarterback revealed how his kids reacted to the 41-33 defeat.
"That was the first time that I'd really seen my kids react in that way. Benny was crying. Vivi was crying and they were sad for me and sad for the Patriots," Brady said, per Kelly McCarthy of ABC News.
A father of three including 5-year-old Vivian, 8-year-old Benjamin, and 10-year-old John, Brady used the stinging loss as a teachable moment.
"I just said to them, 'Look you guys, this is a great lesson. We don't always win. We try our best and sometimes it doesn't go the way we want," Brady said.
His documentary series was temporarily postponed after the loss, as the plan for the final episode revolved around a Super Bowl victory.
