Brown restructures contract with Steelers, fully guaranteeing 2018 salary
Antonio Brown revealed in an Instagram story Wednesday that he restructured his contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers, via NFL reporter Dov Kleiman.
The base-to-bonus restructure will fully guarantee his salary in 2018, creating cap space for Le'Veon Bell's $14.5-million franchise tag deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The six-time Pro Bowler joins David DeCastro and Stephon Tuitt as players who have restructured their contracts to help alleviate Pittsburgh's cap situation.
Brown caught 101 passes in 2017 and led the league with 1,533 receiving yards. The wideout has been named a first-team All-Pro in each of the last four seasons.
