Talib rejuvenated ahead of fresh start with Rams
Aqib Talib couldn't be happier to become a member of the Los Angeles Rams.
Talib will be traded from the Denver Broncos when the new league year begins Wednesday, bringing veteran experience to the NFC West upstart. Los Angeles also agreed to a deal where they will acquire fellow Pro Bowler Marcus Peters, instantly forming one of the league's most formidable cornerback tandems.
With a solid core in place for the Rams, Talib is welcoming his move to the bright lights of Hollywood.
"What better place to do it than L.A., man," Talib said to NFL Network's James Palmer Saturday. "With that market. With (defensive coordinator) Wade Phillips. With a young energetic corner on the other side, man, to bring back that youth to me. A great quarterback and Todd Gurley, it's just a great situation in my opinion."
Talib was named to his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl and helped the Denver Broncos capture Super Bowl 50 in 2015.
Entering the next chapter of his life, Talib's veteran experience and physicality will be coveted by an up-and-coming Rams team that is looking to disrupt the rest of the NFC.
