Report: Giants, 49ers, Colts emerge as finalists to sign Andrew Norwell
All-Pro guard Andrew Norwell has apparently whittled down his search for a new club with the free-agency period set to begin Wednesday.
Norwell has narrowed his three finalists to the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Indianapolis Colts, a source told Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com.
Stapleton adds that the Giants remain confident they will land the former Carolina Panther.
Giants general manager Dave Gettleman, who signed Norwell as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State in 2014, has long been the favorite to obtain the lineman's services, but it appears he may have competition from the cap-flush Colts and 49ers.
Norwell had a career year in 2017, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 3 offensive guard.
The 26-year-old is expected to command the league's highest contract at his position when he hits the open market.
