Jets re-sign McCown, reportedly still interested in Bridgewater
The New York Jets have re-signed veteran quarterback Josh McCown to a one-year contract, his agent Mike McCartney announced Tuesday.
McCown's deal is worth $10 million, a source told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
The Jets are reportedly working on a deal with Teddy Bridgewater, and while McCown has been informed he will be the starter, New York's interest in the former Minnesota Vikings signal-caller remains, a source told Calvin Watkins of Newsday.
McCown started 13 games in 2017, throwing for just under 3,000 yards and 18 touchdowns to nine interceptions. He could act as a stopgap for one more year if the Jets presumably intend to draft a quarterback in the first round come April.
