Changes could be on the horizon in the NHL, as the league wants to give the situation room final say on goaltender interference challenges.

Senior executive director of hockey operations Colin Campbell made the announcement Tuesday at the general managers meetings in Boca Raton, Fla., according to David Amber of Hockey Night in Canada. Campbell added that the league has reached out to the NHLPA for approval, and it's already being reviewed by the players' union.
