The Federal Communications Commission has finally realised what most Americans have known for quite a while: internet is a utility. What might have felt like a luxury a decade ago is now necessary. Even as the FCC prepares to keep internet 'open' to all, it will not regulate prices or force cable and internet providers to share networks, according to FCC officials.
