Report: Randy Gregory preparing reinstatement application
Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory, who didn't play last season while serving a drug-related suspension, is preparing to petition the NFL for reinstatement, multiple sources told David Moore of the Dallas Morning News.
Gregory has reportedly either failed or skipped at least seven drug tests over his two-year career. He also tested positive for marijuana multiple times in college. The former second-round pick has appeared in just two games for Dallas, registering nine tackles and one sack.
It's unclear whether the Cowboys would welcome Gregory back. Executive vice president Stephen Jones said in February the franchise couldn't count on Gregory being part of its future plans.
