Cardinals sign German Football League lineman

The Arizona Cardinals signed 22-year-old defensive lineman Moubarak Djeri from the German Football League, they announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder comes across the pond after racking up 40 tackles, 12 sacks, and two forced fumbles for the Cologne Crocodiles in 2017.

"It was a big dream, and right now it's life," an excited Djeri told Kyle Odegard from the team's official websiteafter signing his contract. "I'm so excited to be here."

Terms of the contract weren't disclosed, but presumably Djeri will battle for a roster spot in training camp.

"I know the NFL is much faster than the league I played in before," he said. "But I'm going to keep working."
