by from on (#3KFBZ)

Two-hundred Grade 1 students of the Hamilton Music Collective's An Instrument for Every Child program (from schools including Cathy Weaver, St. Joseph's, Dr. Davey, Prince of Wales, and Hess Street) were invited to visit McMaster University's Institute for Music and the Mind (LIVELab) for an interactive tour on March 28 to learn about the concept of sound, technology, music and science. Funding for the visit came from Lou Molinaro of This Ain't Hollywood, Tyler Kyte of the band Dwayne Gretzky and the Hamilton Community Foundation. The LIVE (Large Interactive Virtual Environment) Lab is a unique 100-seat research performance hall designed to investigate the experience of music, dance, multimedia presentations, and human interaction.
