Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey has known which player he'll draft first overall for about six weeks, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Thursday, according to Will Brinson of CBS Sports.

Dorsey reportedly informed Browns ownership of the decision approximately a month ago but kept his choice a secret from head coach Hue Jackson until two days ago.

A report published Thursday morning indicates that rival coaches and general managers believe Cleveland will take Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield with the top pick. The Browns also hold the fourth overall selection.

Before that report, USC's Sam Darnold and Wyoming's Josh Allen were favored to go first overall on Thursday night.
