Patriots finally grab QB with Danny Etling in Round 7

The New England Patriots have selected quarterback Danny Etling out of LSU with the 219th overall pick in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Many pundits thought the Patriots would grab a quarterback earlier in the draft process but Bill Belichick opted to wait until the seventh round and give Etling a shot.

Etling will add quarterback depth behind Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer, but his limited production in college suggests that is the highest he will get in the professional ranks.
