Vikings re-sign Terence Newman for 16th NFL season

The Minnesota Vikings re-signed 39-year-old cornerback Terence Newman on Monday, bringing him back for his 16th NFL season.
He'll enter his fourth campaign with the Vikings. He began his career with the Dallas Cowboys in 2003 and had a three-year stint with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2012-14 before heading to Minnesota.
Newman, who will be 40 years old at the beginning of the 2018 season, is the oldest active defender in the NFL.
He had an interception and five pass breakups last year while appearing in all 16 regular-season games.
