Joe Namath: Reid, Kaepernick, 'good enough' to have jobs
Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath has thrown his support behind free agents Eric Reid and Colin Kaepernick.
Kaepernick has gone unsigned since opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers after the 2016 season, and Reid hasn't been signed since playing out his contract with the club this past season.
Both players played a large role in widespread league protests last season that saw NFLers kneeling during the national anthem.
"I think in Eric's case - and even Kaepernick's case - they are good enough players to be out there and having a job. Why aren't they? I don't know," he told FOX Business' Stuart Varney on "Varney & Co." on Thursday.

Namath said the owners reserve the right to employ whomever they choose, but he doesn't think there has been any collusion going on among the owners to keep Reid and Kaepernick unsigned. He also said he doesn't feel as though the two damaged the game with their protests.
