Panthers reveal DBs coach resigned due to complaints of inappropriate conduct

Carolina Panthers defensive backs coach Curtis Fuller resigned this week, and the team revealed Thursday that the decision came after an internal investigation into "complaints of inappropriate conduct" against him, a Panthers spokesman told David Newton of ESPN.

"After approaching Coach Fuller with the findings of an investigation into complaints of inappropriate conduct, we accepted his resignation," Panthers spokesman Steven Drummond said. "The Panthers are deeply committed to ensuring a safe, comfortable, and diverse work environment where all individuals, regardless of sex, race, color, religion, gender, or sexual identity or orientation, are treated fairly and equally."

The Panthers are currently up for sale after revelations about owner Jerry Richardson's own workplace misconduct. A former employee recently shared inappropriate notes she says Richardson sent to her, while the owner has also been accused of using a racial slur toward a team scout.
