Former Colts receiver wins Ohio GOP primary
A former first-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts is moving forward in his quest to Congress.
Former wide receiver, turned Republican candidate Anthony Gonzalez, defeated Ohio Sen. Christina Hagan and physician Michael Grusenmeyer on Tuesday in competition to replace U.S. House of Representatives member Jim Renacci, according to Sabrina Eaton of Cleveland.com.

Renacci declared he won't be running for re-election. Gonzalez's next step will be a face-off in the fall with health care professional Susan Moran, who recently won a six-way Democratic primary.
Gonzalez played parts of three seasons with the Colts after being chosen with the No. 32 pick in the 2007 draft. He totaled 99 receptions on 141 targets for 1,307 yards and seven touchdowns in 39 career games.
