The Jacksonville Jaguars began voluntary organized team activities Tuesday without star cornerbacks Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye.

Head coach Doug Marrone told reporters he'd let the Pro Bowl defenders explain their absences publicly if and when they report to the workouts, according to Gene Frenette of The Florida Times-Union.

Of course, there's no mandate for either player to be with the team during the voluntary phase of the offseason.

Ramsey is entering his third NFL campaign while Bouye signed a huge five-year deal a season ago so it's unlikely their lack of attendance is related to contract issues.
