Philadelphia mayor, U.S. senator offer alternatives to Eagles' derailed WH visit
The Philadelphia Eagles may not be attending President Donald Trump's party, but the team still has its fair share of invitations.
The White House issued a statement Monday canceling the Eagles' customary Super Bowl champion visit, but Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kinney won't let that ruin the team's celebration.
Philly mayor Jim Kenney's statement is pointed.

After President Trump disinvited the #Eagles to the White House, Kenney calls him "a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size and afraid of the embarrassment of throwing a party to which no one wants to attend." pic.twitter.com/90pHhIR4SU
United States Senator Bob Casey, who is from Pennsylvania, followed suit, offering the Eagles a tour of the Capitol should it stay in Washington.
I'm proud of what the @Eagles accomplished this year. I'm skipping this political stunt at the White House and just invited the Eagles to Congress. @Eagles How about a tour of the Capitol? https://t.co/niWR7zkSYx

It appears the team and owner Jeffrey Lurie are taking note. Philadelphia released a statement, thanking their community for their support.
