Oakland Raiders cornerback Gareon Conley has filed a counter lawsuit against a woman who said he raped her last year, claiming the investigation and her lawsuit cost him "millions of dollars" and endorsement deals, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.

Conley slipped to No. 24 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft after the woman said he raped her. The cornerback was viewed as a near-lock to be a top-10 pick before his name surfaced in a police report the week of the event.

A grand jury dismissed the case without charges last July. However, the woman filed a civil suit on April 6, saying she "sustained serious physical, psychological, emotional, and mental injuries" in her encounter with Conley.

Conley's claim argues the woman "instituted and continued the criminal prosecution of Conley with malice ... because she was upset that Conley refused to have sex with her, or to position her to be able to squeeze a pay-off from Conley, or both."

The second-year cornerback is seeking damages of at least $25,000.
