Featured photos: Along for the Farm Crawl
by from on (#3TYD6)

The July edition of Farm Crawl took place on Saturday with 10 local farms participating. Visitors could stop by a variety of different types of farms to get a chance to see where their food comes from. Started in 2012 as a response to a lack of local agri-tourism, Farm Crawl has grown from just three participating farms. The crawl is held in June, July and August each year, and it's not unusual for close to 500 people to take part - a dramatic increase from the 60 who took part in the first event. Adults pay $15 (kids are just $5) and can visit as many farms as they wish. Tickets can be purchased in advance but walk-up visitors are always welcome.
