It appears Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was right when he downplayed All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones skipping mandatory minicamp and organized team activities (OTAs) earlier this offseason amid a rumored (but denied) contract dispute.

Jones instead worked out on his own and with soon-to-be Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens - reportedly drawing more ire from the Falcons - but Ryan predicted his No. 1 target would arrive in time for his off-campus player workouts. And according to a photo from rookie receiver Calvin Ridley, Ryan was correct.

Jones carries a cap hit of $12.9 million for 2018 and he remains under contract through 2020 on a five-year, $71.25-million deal signed ahead of the 2015 campaign. His $14.25 million average annual salary ranks eighth among receivers heading into the coming season.

Falcons veterans are scheduled to report to training camp July 26.
