It's been over five months since the Eagles triumphed over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, but Philadephia's Lane Johnson and Jason Kelce aren't prepared to let sleeping dogs lie.

Johnson has led the offensive all summer against the AFC champions' ethos and continued the charge Wednesday, claiming Patriots defensive tackle Geneo Grissom dismissed a handshake prior to the Super Bowl despite the fact that the two were collegiate teammates.

"(Grissom) said, 'No, we're not friends.' I was like, 'What the f--- are you talking about?" Johnson said, according to Alex Prewitt of Sports Illustrated. "I don't know if his coach told him to do that or what. I thought it was chickens---.'"

Kelce, for his part, fanned the flames with a dig at New England's defensive ranks.

"The last defense we had seen was Minnesota's, and we were like, 'These dudes have got some players,'" Kelce said. "Then we see (the Patriots) and we're like, 'These dudes have got some ... coaches.'"

Prior to last February's Super Bowl, there wasn't much of a natural rivalry between the Eagles and Patriots. As the summer marches on, it seems apparent that two of the NFL's elite are now intertwined in a budding clash.
