Julio Jones' contract dispute has been well documented this offseason, but the Atlanta Falcons star receiver stated he was never going to hold out of training camp.

"I was already gonna come here," Jones told reporters Friday, via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. "(The Falcons) took care of it. We knew all along we were gonna get it handled."

Jones reported to camp after agreeing to a revised deal with the Falcons where he will reportedly earn a $2.9-million raise in 2018 and a $4.4-million signing bonus.

The two-time All-Pro wideout reiterated his desire to be a "Falcon forever," and claimed reports regarding his displeasure were not accurate.

"It was just me handling my business, doing what I need to do to be the best that I can be for the ball club," Jones said. "I'm just here to play football. At the end of the day, it's a brotherhood. I gotta hold up my end. I gotta be prepared to come out here and be 100 percent, and go out there so these guys can count on me each and every play."
