Ravens' Jackson: I'm ready to show I'm a quarterback
Lamar Jackson will be among the first from the 2018 rookie class to put his talents on display when the NFL preseason opens Thursday with the Hall of Fame Game between the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears.
Jackson was asked Monday what he wants to show in his preseason debut.
"I'm a quarterback. That's the first thing I want to show off. Just show the growth, from college to my new chapter of life," Jackson said, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

Jackson's athleticism allowed him to rush for more than 1,500 yards in each of his final two seasons at Louisville. The 2016 Heisman winner also scored 50 touchdowns over three campaigns with the Cardinals.
The 21-year-old opted out of running the 40-yard dash at both the NFL combine and his Louisville pro day amid reports that teams wanted to work him out as a wide receiver.
The Ravens traded back into the first round to select Jackson with the No. 32 pick. Presumed to be the eventual heir to Joe Flacco under center for the Ravens, Jackson will compete with Robert Griffin III for snaps.
