Broncos' King confronts local radio host after practice
Denver Broncos punter Marquette King confronted a local radio host Sunday after practice, before a media relations member stepped in to remove him from the situation.
Hostility between King and Darren McKee began bubbling on Friday when former Broncos receiver Brandon Stokley and Zach Bye of 104.3 The Fan ended an interview with an uninterested King after 90 seconds.
McKee, who also hosts a show on the network, appeared to draw the ire of King the next day when he tweeted that the entire Broncos team except King was signing autographs. King then tweeted a sexually suggestive message at McKee, and McKee replied by telling the punter he should apologize to Bye and Stokley for his interview.
In the post-practice exchange Sunday, King asked McKee, "Do we have a problem?" and told him to "keep my name out of your mouth," according to ESPN's Jeff Legwold.
McKee replied, "Or what?"
King signed with the Broncos as a free agent following his release from the Oakland Raiders after five seasons. On top of being one of the most prolific punters in the NFL, King is known for having a strong personality off the field.
