The Oakland Raiders bolstered their secondary Wedesday by inking free-agent cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Rodgers-Cromartie was released by the Giants this offseason after four seasons in New York. He's the latest veteran to join the Raiders' secondary, following the signings of Rashaan Melvin, Daryl Worley, Shareece Wright, and Leon Hall.

Melvin is expected to start alongside sophomore Gareon Conley, so Rodgers-Cromartie will likely battle for the slot corner position.

The 32-year-old Rodgers-Cromartie was named a second-team All-Pro in 2016, but struggled in 15 starts for the Giants last year.
