Outspoken Jacksonville Jaguars corner Jalen Ramsey blames his teammate Marqise Lee's leg injury squarely on the NFL and its new helmet rule.

Lee took a shot to the knee by Atlanta Falcons corner Damontae Kazee in Saturday's preseason game. Lee required the assistance of a cart to be taken off the field.

Ramsey argues that the new helmet rule, that penalizes players for leading with the crown of their helmets when making a tackle, led to the gruesome injury.

"You can't be mad at (Kazee). You have to be mad at the NFL; not mad at them, but that is how the rule is," Ramsey said, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco.

"People are scared to tackle normal because I guess they don't want to do helmet-to-helmet and get flagged. ... Game-changing stuff could happen. You don't really want to blame anyone, but you feel bad for him."

An update on Lee's status was not available after the game.
