Bryant indicates he may sign later in season
The ballad of Dez Bryant's summer has been well-documented by now, and with the season quickly approaching, it appears that the former Dallas Cowboys star is content with missing the start of the season.
Bryant visited with the Cleveland Browns earlier this month but didn't sign a contract, remaining arguably the most high-profile free agent left on the market.
The veteran wideout took to Twitter on Monday, possibly revealing his plans for the upcoming season.
I can I just have to take care of me first....gave to much love and not received at least half back...I will play ball this year just might be a lil bit later in the year.. we will see https://t.co/9FVMcgX4K1

Bryant also blasted one of his critics who called him "desperate," noting that while he could sign before the year begins, his focus is on finding the right opportunity.
I know you want that garbage that's coming out of your mouth to be true..but check this.. I can sign before this season start..if I don't.. I will make less money which more likely to happen..I want to be right.. that's my focus right now..life is great over here https://t.co/P188ftT5Bm

Bryant is still a productive receiver who caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games with the Cowboys in 2017. The three-time Pro Bowler is long removed from his top form, however, where he recorded three consecutive seasons with at least 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns from 2012-14.
