Report: Saints cut Michael Floyd, former 2nd-round pick Kikaha
The roster cuts have begun.
A day before NFL teams need to cut their rosters from 90 to 53, the New Orleans Saints released journeyman receiver Michael Floyd and former second-round draft pick Hau'oli Kikaha, Josh Katzenstein of the Times-Picayune reports, citing a source.
The Saints signed Floyd in July and he made one reception this preseason.
Kikaha was the 44th overall pick in the 2015 draft. He recorded four sacks in both the 2015 and 2017 seasons, but he's battled injuries throughout his career, including tearing his left ACL on three occasions.
Among the Saints' other reported cuts are defensive end George Johnson and receiver Brandon Tate.
