Report: Bears extend Mack with 6-year, $141M deal after trade from Raiders

Khalil Mack will finally get paid.

The Chicago Bears and their newly-acquired pass-rusher have agreed on a six-year, $141-million extension that includes $90 million guaranteed and a $60 million signing bonus, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

With his new deal, Mack passes Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald to become the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history.

The Oakland Raiders traded Mack to the Bears earlier on Saturday for a package of draft picks.

The 2016 Defensive Player of the Year sat out the entire Raiders offseason program while searching for a new contract. He was entering the final year of his rookie deal after Oakland selected him No. 5 overall in 2014.

Mack is a two-time first-team All-Pro selection. The 27-year-old recorded 78 tackles and 10.5 sacks in 2017, and he's registered 40.5 sacks in 64 career games.
