Browns' Gordon removed from injury report ahead of season opener
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon - who'd been nursing a hamstring injury late in the preseason - was removed from the team's injury report ahead of Sunday's season opener versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Gordon isn't expected to start against Pittsburgh as he eases back into action, but he'll be ready to play in Week 1 for just the second time in his career, and the first since his rookie campaign in 2012.
The 27-year-old posted 335 yards and one touchdown in five outings last season after making his long-awaited return from a drug-related suspension.
Gordon didn't play in any preseason games this summer. He missed the first two while taking a leave of absence to work on maintaining his mental health.
