Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott isn't ready to make a decision on the starting quarterback for Week 2 after the Baltimore Ravens handed his squad a 47-3 loss with sophomore Nathan Peterman starting in the season opener.

McDermott said postgame Sunday that it's too early to go one way or the other with the quarterback decision, according to Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.

Peterman, the Bills' fifth-round pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, went 5-for-18 through the air for 24 yards and two interceptions before being pulled in favor of rookie Josh Allen.

McDermott added that he needs to look at the tape in order to determine a true assessment of Peterman.

The 22-year-old Allen proceeded to go 6-for-15 for 74 yards with the game well out of hand.

Buffalo traded up in the 2018 draft and selected the Wyoming pivot with the seventh overall pick.

McDermott said Allen made "some pretty decisive throws," according to Buscaglia.

The Bills host the Los Angeles Chargers next Sunday.
