Report: Seahawks' Baldwin has partial MCL tear, will miss time
Seattle Seahawks star wide receiver Doug Baldwin suffered a Grade 2 partial MCL tear Sunday against the Denver Broncos, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Head coach Pete Carroll originally said Baldwin suffered an MCL sprain, so the injury appears to be worse than originally thought. The team is still trying to figure out how much time the receiver will miss, Schefter added.
Baldwin dealt with recurring knee problems throughout the preseason, but his current injury is to the other knee.
Seattle's top pass-catcher hauled in 75 receptions for 991 yards and eight touchdowns during the 2017 season, earning his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection. A lengthy spell on the sidelines would be a big blow to the team's offense.
Brandon Marshall and Tyler Lockett will likely see increased targets in Baldwin's absence.
