Peyton Manning has said he isn't interested in becoming a politician, but if he ever changes his mind, one congressman thinks he stands a good chance of being elected.

John Duncan, who represents Tennessee's 2nd district, told TMZ Sports the retired NFL quarterback could win any office in the state.

"If Peyton Manning ran for any office in Tennessee, he could win by a landslide," Duncan said.

When asked about Manning's lack of interest in politics, Duncan said "I think he's made so much money off his football career and his advertising and so forth that it'd be a step down for him to be elected to some office."

Manning's name was floated by Republican Rep. Scott DesJarlais as a possible candidate to run for a Senate seat in Tennessee last year. Manning was quick to dismiss the idea.
