Report: Rodgers will start vs. Vikings barring setback

Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers will start in Sunday's divisional clash with the Minnesota Vikings barring a setback with the knee injury he suffered in the season opener, sources told Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Rodgers returned to practice Saturday for the first time since his dramatic comeback win over the Chicago Bears in Week 1.

The veteran passer is still reportedly dealing with soreness and swelling in his knee. His injury could take a couple of months to heal, though he doesn't have any ligament damage, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"He has a pretty unusual injury that would keep most people out awhile," another source told ESPN.

Rodgers returned to the Bears game at halftime after being carted off. He dragged the Packers back from 20-0 down despite essentially playing on one leg, tossing for 286 yards and three touchdowns to win 24-23.
