Steelers confirm Brown was absent Monday, didn't ask for trade
Wide receiver Antonio Brown did not report to the Pittsburgh Steelers' """""facilities Monday, head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Brown made headlines Monday, one day after he left the locker room and spurned reporters following a 42-37 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, by replying to a tweet from a former Steelers employee who suggested the star wideout wouldn't have been as successful on another team.

Speaking Tuesday, Tomlin said the star wideout has not asked for a trade, despite missing Monday's meetings, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
"I'm looking forward to visiting with him today," Tomlin told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
When asked about Brown's tweet, the head coach declined to discuss his player's use of social media. "I'll leave that between he and I," Tomlin said, per Bouchette.
Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, issued a response to his client's tweet and relationship with the team.
"The tweet yesterday was not in reference to anything other than Antonio responding to a person he knows. It was not directed towards a trade, or wanting to be trading. Any idea he was asking for a trade is not accurate," Rosenhaus said, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"Antonio had a personal matter," Rosenhaus" added. "I talked to the team about it. His issue was unrelated to the tweet or his relationship with the team. Third, AB has an incredible drive to win. He just wants to win. That's all that that is."
He """"""continued: "That's not anything more than him encouraging his coaches and teammates to win. And that's what his entire focus is on. Any notion, any speculation otherwise, can be put to bed. This is a non-story that has been blown out of proportion. We can end this right here and now."
The Steelers are off Tuesday and will resume team activities Wednesday. A Week 3 road date with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night awaits.
