Minnesota Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen was reportedly involved in an incident at a Minneapolis hotel Saturday, Ryan Raiche of KSTP-TV reports.

Police records obtained by Raiche indicate that a person at Hotel Ivy in Minneapolis verbally threatened to shoot someone on Saturday. The person's name was redacted from the report produced by the Minneapolis Police Department but sources confirmed to Raiche that Griffen was the person involved.

The report stated that the suspect verbally threatened to shoot someone if he wasn't let into his room but no gun was found. He eventually left the hotel on his own volition and was not arrested.

Griffen is being evaluated at a local hospital amid prolonged concerns about his mental health, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

"We are aware of the situation involving Everson Griffen and certainly concerned by what we have heard. We are currently focused on Everson's well-being and providing the appropriate support for him and his family," Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said in a statement.

Griffen missed Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills due to a personal matter.
