Belichick impressed by Chiefs' Mahomes: He's got a 'fabulous arm'

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has taken the NFL by storm just five games into his first full campaign as a starter. He's even impressed one of the league's least vocal coaches.

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick gushed over the Chiefs' signal-caller on Monday, saying "pretty much everything" stood out after watching his game tape, via ESPN's Mike Reiss.

"He's got a great arm, a fabulous arm, can throw the ball out of the stadium," Belichick said.

"He gets the ball to all of his receivers quick, quick release, sees things quickly, can extend plays... makes good decisions, accurate, gets the ball out on time."

In one of the 2018 season's most anticipated matchups, the Patriots (3-2) will host Kansas City (5-0) on Sunday Night Football in Week 6.

Mahomes is an early-season MVP candidate after accumulating 1,513 passing yards with 14 touchdowns and two interceptions for the undefeated Chiefs.
