Chiefs-Bengals flexed to Sunday night Week 7
Get ready for a double dose of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in prime time.
The NFL is moving the Chiefs-Cincinnati Bengals contest from the 1 p.m. ET time slot in Week 7 to the Sunday Night Football spotlight, the Bengals announced.
As a result, Kansas City will play in the Sunday nightcap for two consecutive weeks, beginning in Week 6 with a road game against the New England Patriots.
The Chiefs and Bengals currently own the two best records in the AFC. Kansas City is one of two remaining undefeated teams in the league and Cincinnati is 4-1 on the strength of the second-highest scoring offense in the conference.
The matchup will replace the NFC West battle between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers, which has lost some luster with the season-ending injury to Niners quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. That game will move to 4:25 p.m. ET.
The Bengals will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6.
