As much as the Philadelphia Eagles continue to hail their in-house options at running back since losing Jay Ajayi to a season-ending injury, trade rumors keep swirling.

Josh Reed of WIVB reported on Tuesday that the Eagles have reached out to the Buffalo Bills about a possible reunion with LeSean McCoy. Shady spent the first six years of his career in Philly before being shipped to Buffalo in 2015.

The report has yet to be confirmed by either team, but it hasn't been denied by any party either.

"I'm not getting into that," Bills head coach Sean McDermott's said, according to WKBW's Joe Buscaglia.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson didn't rule out a deal, either.

"I'm sure that is a possibility," he said, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. "(Vice president of football operations Howie Roseman) is going to continue to look and see what's out there, see what's available and see if there is somebody we need to bring in."

However, Pederson maintained that the club is confident in the abilities of current Eagles rushers Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood, and Darren Sproles.

McCoy brushed off the trade rumors when he was asked about them on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old McCoy was a two-time All-Pro as a member of the Eagles. He has rushed for more than 1,100 yards in each of the past two seasons with the Bills, yet he's totaled just 170 yards and zero scores through four games this season.
