Ranking the 5 craziest finishes from a wild NFL Sunday

Week 7 wasn't a lucky one for some in the NFL. It was a painful experience for kickers, in particular.

Whether due to the elements or an unfortunate set of circumstances, Sunday produced a number of wacky endings.

Here are the five craziest finishes from Sunday's slate:

5. Titans go for 2 and win in London, can't convert

The Tennessee Titans had two shots at two points and a win on Sunday.

Down 20-13 to the Los Angeles Chargers with four minutes remaining in the game, the Titans drove 89 yards for the touchdown with half a minute left on the clock.

Rather than kicking the game-tying extra point and head to overtime, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel opted for the game-winning two-point conversion. When in Rome ... or London, as it were.

The first attempt was a pass to Tajae Sharpe that fell incomplete, but a defensive holding call gave Tennessee another crack at the win, this time from the 1-yard line.

Rather than running the ball with 250-pound back Derrick Henry or athletic quarterback Marcus Mariota, the Titans went again with a pass. The gamble didn't pay off.

4. Browns lose in OT on 59-yard FG

For the fourth time in seven games, the Cleveland Browns needed overtime.

This extra period was a wacky affair. With the score tied 23-23, the Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded possessions that included an interception and two near lost fumbles.

The game was finally won on a field-goal attempt from the midfield logo.

Chandler Catanzaro's 59-yard boot was the longest overtime field goal in league history.

3. Justin Tucker's 1st-ever missed XP costs Ravens

Was there anything more reliable than Justin Tucker kicks?

When the Ravens scored a late touchdown against the New Orleans Saints, the assumption was Tucker would put in another extra point and send the game to overtime.

The most accurate kicker in NFL history, Tucker had made 222 extra points in a row before recording the first miss of his career. It was a costly one as the Ravens lost the game 24-23.

2. Panthers erase 17-point deficit in 4th quarter

Anyone who checked in on the Philadelphia Eagles-Carolina Panthers game early in the fourth quarter would have seen the Eagles up 17-0 and have no reason to believe the outcome would be in jeopardy.

But the Panthers rattled off 21 points in the game's final 10 minutes to pull off a miraculous victory, clinched by this connection between Cam Newton and Greg Olsen.

The turnaround was the largest fourth-quarter comeback in Panthers franchise history.

1. Patriots stuff Bears' Hail Mary at the 1

Perhaps the most entertaining game of the day was a back-and-forth affair between the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears.

The Pats appeared to have finally wrested control of the game, going up 38-24 in the fourth quarter, but the Bears hit pay dirt again to pull within one score.

Fifty-five yards from the end zone, Chicago quarterback Mitch Trubisky let go a Hail Mary that - if converted - would tie the game.

Somehow, someway, a group of about four defenders kept Bears receiver Kevin White from being able to stretch the ball across the goal line from one yard out. Unreal.
