Uzbekistan President Approves Nuclear Plant Accord

Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Friday officially approved an accord with Russia that calls for design, construction and partial financing of a two-unit nuclear power plant expected to be built in the central Asian nation to supply the country with about 20 percent of its electricity supply.(read more)
