Sitting at 1-6 and in the basement of the NFC East, the New York Giants may be sellers before the Oct. 30 NFL trade deadline.

The Giants dealt cornerback Eli Apple to the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, but head coach Pat Shurmur doesn't anticipate a major change at another key position.

"I think Eli (Manning) will be our quarterback (through our bye)," Shurmur said on Tuesday, via ESPN's Jordan Raanan. "He has been and he will continue to be here. I don't know how that will play into the Eli Apple trade."

Manning is struggling as the Giants' starting quarterback this season, throwing seven touchdowns to four interceptions in seven starts. He's failing to consistently move the offense and take shots downfield.

Coming off a 23-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, New York will face the Washington Redskins in Week 8 before heading into their bye week.
