Report: Giants' Lauletta arrested for traffic violation

New York Giants quarterback Kyle Lauletta was arrested Tuesday morning for failing to obey a police officer's directions, sources told Ron Zeitlinger of The Jersey Journal.
The sources added that the 23-year-old signal-caller came close to striking the officer with his vehicle.
"We were made aware of the situation this morning, and we have been in contact with Kyle. We are still in the process of gathering information. This is obviously very disappointing," head coach Pat Shurmur said, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.
The Giants chose Lauletta with the 108th overall pick of April's draft. He's yet to play this season and is listed as the third quarterback on the Giants' official depth chart behind starter Eli Manning and 30-year-old Alex Tanney.
