Oilers recall Puljujarvi after productive AHL stint
Jesse Puljujarvi will get his first taste of Ken Hitchcock on Sunday.
The Edmonton Oilers recalled the 20-year-old on Saturday ahead of a clash against the Los Angeles Kings. Puljujarvi returns to the club after a stint with the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League in which he posted two goals and two assists in four games.
Sunday's contest will be Puljujarvi's first since the club dismissed former head coach Todd McLellan.
Hitchcock on Puljujarvi: "I wanted responsibility for his development. I didn't just want to be watching him play in AHL. I feel this is type of player we need to win in the Western Confernce. I asked Peter if he'd bring him up for practice today."

Puljujarvi got off to a slow start with the Oilers prior to his demotion, recording just one goal in 11 games.
