Beckham criticizes gameplan following loss to Eagles
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. critiqued his team's offense once again following Sunday's 25-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Beckham made national headlines in October for blasting quarterback Eli Manning's pass distribution, along with the Giants' offensive scheme, during an interview with ESPN. He later told reporters he had no regrets over his commentary.
The star wide receiver took issue with the team's scheme Sunday, noting that the Eagles were dealing with several injuries on the defensive side of the ball.
"Knowing they were struggling (with injuries) in the secondary, personally I would've loved to attack them. But that wasn't in our game plan," Beckham said postgame, according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.
Beckham finished with five catches for 85 yards, leading his team in both categories. Ultimately, the Giants failed to close out the Eagles after taking a 19-11 halftime lead.
At 3-8, the Giants' season is all but over and Beckham's critiques of the offense may be the everlasting memory of the year.
