The Houston Texans' 34-17 win over the Tennessee Titans on Monday night was in honor of late owner and founder Bob McNair, according to defensive end J.J. Watt.

"All he wanted for Houston was a winner," Watt told ESPN's Lisa Salters after the game. "All he wanted for us every week was a winner, and tonight that was for him. We're glad we could get one in his stadium, in his building, and I believe he was watching. So that one was for you, Mr. McNair."

Watt recorded 1.5 sacks in the victory to remain in a tie for second in the NFL with 11.5. Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams is currently leading with 14.5 sacks.

McNair passed away Friday night at the age of 81. The team honored him prior to the start of Monday's key AFC South divisional matchup with a video tribute and performance of "Amazing Grace."

The win helped solidify the Texans' hold on the division with a record of 8-3 - two wins above the second-place Indianapolis Colts. The Titans dropped below .500 with a record of 5-6 and sit in third.
