Ravens place Alex Collins on IR, activate Kenneth Dixon
The Baltimore Ravens placed running back Alex Collins on injured reserve Saturday, the team announced.
Collins missed the Week 12 game against the Oakland Raiders due to a foot injury. He was listed as questionable on Friday for Sunday's matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
The 24-year-old had rushed for 411 yards and seven touchdowns over 10 games this season. He added another 105 yards and a score on 15 receptions.
Kenneth Dixon was activated in a corresponding move. He last played in Week 1, rushing for 44 yards and a touchdown in a 47-3 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Undrafted free-agent signee Gus Edwards has emerged over the past two games as the leaders of the Ravens' backfield. He topped 100 yards in each outing and has 297 yards and one touchdown over 55 carries this season.
