A four-star recruit in 2016, Williams exploded onto the scene as a redshirt freshman in 2017, collecting six interceptions and displaying excellent coverage skills.
In his second collegiate campaign, the athletic cornerback was named one of three finalists for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the top defensive back in the country.
The Shreveport, La. is among the top defensive prospects eligible for next April's draft, and is expected to be one of the first players off the board at his position.
Williams will not play in LSU's post-season game - a matchup with UCF in the Fiesta Bowl - a team official told Brooks Kubena of The Advocate.
